bummed food shopping

so… i’m bummed out… i go to the store and buy ~$37 worth of delicious junkfood (fancy cookies, chips & queso, frozen stuff, weird cheeses, etc.). On my way home i have to pass a dojang a friend offered for me to workout in, so i decide to stop, but not to workout, just to use his ladies room (before i make the 40+ min drive to my home)…

I’m about to leave his biz when i start trying to convince myself to just do a workout while i’m there. i had the hardest time convincing myself to stay and workout… LOL.. it actually got pretty ugly! There was name calling! A few eff bombs were dropped! Threats! Disappointment! ( :-)   my negative self-talk is very lively and abusive).. but FINALLY after going back and forth in my mind for a good 7 minutes, i decide to stay and workout for 10min so my precious junk in the car wouldn’t thaw before i got home…

2-3 min later… I’m working out and I start to feel a little better… BUT! My pants are too big! they’re falling because i don’t have a belt! another excuse to stop working out! but No!, Rob has Ducttape!!!! (for the first time ever, wished i had a camera!) i ducttaped my pants up, laughed at the sight and kept exercising….

An hour later… the workout was descent, my spirits are much higher than they were earlier that day and I no longer want the junk food!… Now i set to thinking of someone i can give the food to because i just can’t waste food and i don’t think the store will take it back… my bottomless pit little brother? he loves free food and never gains weight! but… he wasn’t home… i try a couple more ppl and no one was at home! everyone was at work!

I’m stuck with the junk… i take the junk to my home… and Darnnit!!!! i eat some of it… then more! then i get bummed again for consuming junk, and now… pfft! well….. i don’t wanna weigh in this week!! :-)

Good for you for working out. Would have loved to seen your duct-taped pants. Too funny!! I have many, many times done this very thing. Buy all this luscious stuff to eat and begin feeling guilty about it before I even make it through the checkout line. It was nice of you to try and find a home for all your tasty treats but next time, just throw it away.

    WHEN IN DOUBT–THROW IT OUT.

If it is in my house, I’m gonna eat it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but the next time I’m feeling blue, lonely, bored, etc. Yeah, I know there are starving kids in Ethiopia and all that, but unless you are going to pack that stuff up and UPS it to a third-world country, THROW IT AWAY!!!

Oh, yeah, and after you throw it away, take out your trash because some people (not me of course) might be tempted to fish it back out if it was on the top of the pile and still tightly packaged and all that. I’m just sayin . . .

I would just throw it out, I know it’s hard but it’s better than ending up on your bum!

lol… liked the UPS to third-world comment.. and the warning about possible retrieval of refuse :-) but yah i agree w/ you both! it has to go! i’m going to try to find it another home today.. then i think i’ll go into work just to deposit it into the community work fridge… :-) thanks for your comments!

hahahahahahaha, duct tape! What a great idea!! I never thought of it as a belt before!

Thanks for your hilarious profile page. I seriously sat there for 5 minutes watching that big bellied man bump into that lady’s face over and over while I laughed. And then this blog!! I started out being so sad today, and bummed and YOU just made my day! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!

Oh my. I have no idea where to begin with this blog. I agree with Kerstin, you should blog more. I call my negative voice Attila. We often fight, it can be quite loud and make people think I’m quite crazy. I think staying for the work out is a success. I would have had to throw out the junk. If it is in the house I eat. I know my limits. Thank you for the laugh.

hmmm…what about nearby businesses or neighbors that you can drop food off at? I always send bad food to my sister’s place when I don’t want it…

I still have trouble with wanting to put off working out some days. I have to change my work out every so often so i dont get bored with it and that helps alot. I have changed my work out several times over the course of the last year. I never thought I would be able to lose 100 lbs in a year. I havent been thin since i was in 2nd or 3rd grade in elementary school. I am finally down to what I was in high school 20 something years ago. So theres hope for u as well.

Was anybody polite enough to inform you that you had tape on your pants? :D I wish I could have seen that… you are just too silly! You’re gonna make me split a side…
